The Eventide T-Verb is a unique, David Bowie-inspired reverb plugin developed alongside legendary producer and audio engineer Tony Visconti. What makes it so unique? The ability to customise the positioning of the microphones within a modelled room; providing in-depth sonic customisation and effect-shaping capabilities.
Modelled after one of the most iconic studio rooms in the world (Meistersaal at Berlin’s Hansa Tonstudios), the T-Verb provides you with three mic channels that you can customise to deliver unique sonic results. The main mic captures subtle ambience, whilst the other two microphones reproduce the rich room reverb, complete with EQ, diffusion and decay control. You can even change the polar pattern on the main mic to yield various results.
Basing the design on the David Bowie ‘Heroes’ sessions, Eventide has meticulously recreated the channel strip with a compressor module on mic 1 – just as it was in the original session. The vintage GUI (graphical user interface) is reminiscent of classic studio consoles, complete with Tony Visconti’s trademark ‘grease pencil’ labelling. There is even a room mixer module providing in-depth control over the virtual room’s acoustics with decay, diffusion and frequency controls.
