The Steven Slate SSD CLA Expansion is a drum sample pack, engineered and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge for Steven Slate SSD. Putting the powerful and punchy sound of CLA’s drum mixes into your projects, the CLA Expansion has been engineered and mixed by the man himself. Recorded in Ocean Studios’ larger-than-life live drum room with reflective surfaces, the sound can only be described as explosive. This expansion includes 12 snares, 11 kicks, five full tom sets, one hi-hat, one ride, four crashes and 12 presets designed by CLA.
Using precise sampling techniques, each drum has been meticulously recorded with additional articulations recorded for the snare drum. Once recorded, each sample was then mixed by CLA at his studio running through the same processing chains you’ve heard on all of his biggest records for a truly mix-ready experience. He even included samples running through his favourite reverb units to get even closer to his signature sound.
