The SoundIron Harpsichord library brings to life the rich, plucked tones of a prestigious 18th-century Italian Bizzi Harpsichord. Once a cornerstone of European music from the Renaissance to the Baroque period, this library has been recorded in the serene countryside of San Raffaele Cimena, Italy, in the studio of Claudia Ferrero, an acclaimed teacher and performer, this library captures the essence of the harpsichord’s distinctive sound. With meticulous attention to detail, we recorded a variety of articulations, from piano and forte registers to unique sounds like glisses, slides, and percussive impacts, using two stereo mic positions (Bridge and Soundboard) to ensure depth and clarity. The inclusion of custom FX presets and a rich selection of ambient content offers endless creative possibilities, inviting composers to explore both historical and contemporary compositions with this versatile instrument.
