Relab 176 recreates the complete audio circuit of the classic 1960s 176 variable-mu tube compressor in real time. Featuring a fixed-threshold, variable-gain design with four distinct ratios, its attack and release respond dynamically to incoming transients through true RC-tube interactions. Shape compression response and tone by switching between transformer and resistor stage coupling, dial in waveform-selective sidechain polarity to isolate transient peaks, or adjust internal tube calibration directly from the front panel.
